Postdoctoral position in Human-Computer Interaction (CLOSED)

The postdoc will conduct user-centred research to support the design of next generation interfaces for human-computer interaction or human-human interaction. Objectives of the research are the elaboration of

theories and models of the interaction with/mediated by intelligent interfaces,
methods, approaches and tools to support user-centred design of next generation interfaces.
The technological areas of investigation includes (but are not limited to) multimodal systems, embodied conversational agents, systems for computer-mediated communication, on-line communities.

The research will be conducted at the Adaptive Multimodal Information and Interface (AMI2, casa.dit.unitn.it) Lab at the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science (https://www.dit.unitn.it/) of the University of Trento, in Italy. The lab pursues excellence research in next-generation interfaces for human-machine and human-human communication. The AMI2 lab has a state-of-the-art speech and language technology infrastructure and collaborations with premiere international research centers and industry research labs.
The ideal candidate has a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Cognitive Ergonomics, Social /Experimental Psychology with a major emphasis on Human-Computer Interaction or Computer Supported Cooperative work. He/She has a strong methodological background in planning, executing and analysing user research studies (quantitative and/or qualitative research). The position is a full-time 12-month appointment, open for renewal. The salary is 2,000 Euro net per month per one year (extendible).
